Company Profile
We have experience in all aspects of lifting operations from slinger/signaller, through crane supervisor to appointed person. This experience means we are well qualified to advise on all aspects of lifting operations. We understand the problems that can occur and the dangers that lifting operations can pose both to the public and to workers.
We have undertaken a wide range of lifting and transport projects over the years that we have been in the Crane Hire business. We have an extensive fleet of our own cranes that are fully serviced and maintained in excess of the legal requirements and we strive to provide a professional quality service on every job that we undertake.
Our services are flexible, cost effective and fully insured. We keep our overheads down in order to save you money. We are based in Whitestone near Exeter, Devon and work primarily in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset and into Bristol, Wiltshire and Cheltenham.

Our Team
Many customers leave the whole Lift to us, from planning stage through to lift completion, relying on our dedicated team of Operators, Slinger/Banksmen, Appointed Persons and Crane Supervisors.
All of our operators are HGV drivers with the necessary CPCS qualifications. (These are an amalgamation of the old CITB and CTA qualifications, but all under the one banner of the Construction Plant Competence Scheme).
Behind the scenes, the administration staff are on hand to help or if they cannot, to find someone who can.
We strive to be as professional as possible and are dedicated to providing a safe Crane Hire Service second to none.
We have our own workshop and highly skilled HGV mechanic to ensure our vehicles are regularly serviced and looked after.
Health And Safety
At D & F Supercranes Ltd, we take the health and safety of everybody involved in the projects we undertake very seriously.
This includes you, the customer, members of the public and our staff.
Health and Safety is our priority; all staff attend regular safety training and our Health and Safety, risk management, quality and COSHH practices are reviewed regularly to ensure that we are working in accordance with the relevant standards and codes of practice.
We understand the importance of reinforcing health and safety best practices and are conversant with the needs for On Site Safety.
Safe working does not come from form filling but from a deep understanding of the dangers and proper risk management. We only employ competent, CPCS qualified people who share our concern for safety.
All of our cranes and vehicles are maintained over and above the statutory requirements. This ensures that everything is operating at its optimum and safest level.
The emphasis that we place on safety involves a lot of investment in our staff and machines and we take pride in our unblemished safety record. As a professional crane hire company, safety is our priority - both yours and our staff.

Transport & Movements
Movement of items for Domestic customers, Construction Sites, Haulage of large, wide or abnormal loads can be undertaken by our fully qualified HGV drivers who all have CPCS certificates. Liaison with Local Authorities to obtain Road Closure Permits, Meter Bay Suspensions. Abnormal Load permits and notification to the relevant Police Authority for wide and abnormal loads haulage.
